sky hd review
Since I first got my Panasonic hd telly, the foremost thing on my mind was how long do I have to wait to receive sky high-definition set up. I’d already seen high definition movies via my apple telly and was really struck, but I could not continue paying for rented films. What I really desired is sky, I desired all the movies and I wanted football in hd. I had read umpteen sky hd reviews that I had to just stop worrying and just order.
How did I set up sky high def
Well I went online and signed up, it took around 10 mins and was fairly effortless, most of my time was spent shuffling up the bundles, removing and adding – did I actually need sky arts. I opted for the sky high definition box, the high definition pack and the film pack. It was rather expensive I would now find myself paying just under sixty pounds per month but would have everything I wanted in HD. It took a couple of weeks to get the whole thing put in, I live in apartments and already have a common dish, so the sky set up was just some bloke giving me the sky high-def box, and installing it. I could have done this myself, but it was this chaps job. It took him about 5 mins, subsequently which he gave me a fast rundown on the characteristics. I just needed him to get out so I could play with my new toy.

How good is the high def picture
The high-definition picture quality is in a word magnificent. The best way I can describe it? well, I wear specs the pictures on a normal telly is like watching without my glasses, blurred, lack of detail etc. When you experience a HD picture is like wearing the spectacles so much more detail, strong you start to see things that you would never see on the old image. I found myself thinking what would the matrix look like in high-definition, before I knew it I was watching all my loved films again in high def.
Other benefits of sky high def
Well the other major benefit from my point of view is the sound quality. Sky pumps out dolby digital 5.1 surround sound. So, like me, if you have a 5.1 system, I have a sony, can’t recall the model but it cost a lot, then the sound is awesome.
The remote record feature is also a large feature. It essentially allows you to visit the sky website, view the tv schedule, and record. So if you are at work you can browse the schedule and record at your lesiure, when you get home everything will be sitting inside your sky high-def box ready to view.
Free broadband – I was a little dubious about the free broadband. I was with bt, and they had the worst service. I was lucky if I got 1mb download speed, despite many phone calls they never resolved it. When you call bt youre calls are sent to india, where despite their best efforts the staff are just reading from a script. I could never understand what they were saying and got really disappointed. So thanks to bt, I determined to opt for the sky broadband and try and save a bit of cash, I was paying bt 20 pounds for the joy of their poor service.
I got the sky hd box working first, and finally got the free broadband a couple of weeks later, as bt were slow in making things happen their end. I was dreading trying the net as I thought it would be slower than bt. To my surprise the connection was a full 2mb, I know this is not the fastest but for me I was jumping with joy.
